So write me a poem ((and put on a smile))

by StandStill   Jul 9, 2008

I guess that if I'm going to be so selfish,
I should be a bit specific too.
When I said it was my dream to have a poem...
I meant a happy poem written by you.

I know I posses some of your words,
I suppose it's because I hold a bit of history.
But what I don't understand is why
you can only write sad things for me?

This seems to be the trend these days,
words about my bitter, hate-filled tears.
Quite obviously, you forgot to remember
who I am, my dear.

I want a poem, yes it's true,
written about me, and me alone.
But don't you understand, my dear,
I need more than the bare bones.

I try my hardest, every day,
to make you smile just a little bit.
Why not a poem about those dark nights,
when I wouldn't let you quit?

I want a poem about my singing,
how it's attrocious at it's best.
I want a poem about how I give you good dreams,
even better than the rest.

Remind me that I make you smile,
I write so many poems here for you.
I guess that that's too much to ask,
or maybe none of those things are true.

So I suppose I'm being selfish
with this one little request.
But, dearest, I want a poem,
that shows my life's affects.

**to lotsa people...i dont know that i have many happy poems written about me...((except the one by you, Montana, since I know you'll read this!!))**

Aww, I love the poem Gabby. I don't find it selfish that you want something nice written about you for a change and not something sad. It feels a lot better to have happy things written about you then so sad and depressing ones. But i really like it loves <333
