Missing Moments

Missing Moments

Raindrops dancing on windscreen
Birds chirping once again
As you scurry to work, unaware
Overlooked beauty calls out in vain.

Unnoticed are the bright smiles
Tears and pain of loved ones
Can't squeeze in the busy schedule
Anniversary, Birthday or trivial fun.

Schoolmate recovering from surgery
Inquired about his health today?
Mom waiting for your phone call
Atleast ask her if she is " ok "

In your attempt to meet deadlines
Ever discovered the missing moments
During the last miles you will realize
Life has ended before its advent.

**written just to take a break from my hectic schedule... hope you like it (^_^)...

The first stanza is amazingly beautiful. It immediately establishes the ordinary beauty of the outer world and the inner disconnect for the reader. The rest of the poem needs to follow in the same vein. The idea is all there. But it needs some polishing. Good work.

Wonderful poem with a strong message. We do tend to overlook nature, families and friends while scurrying hither tither for things which hardly matters. While neglecting that makes the world go round.

You successfully captured all the hustle and bustle of life with a wonderful message. We do overlook nature and people we care about while scurrying hither tither in things which hardly matters. For we all know families and friends make the world go round. Will it be long before we realize life ceased before it even began???Wonderful write.
