Holding onto hope

by coverd in darkness   Jul 9, 2008

Holding onto ones heart that doesn't hold yours hurts,
Just having them in a way will do,
Hopes of a maybe we can be once again,
But happy to be friends,
Holding onto the hope of one day costs nothing,
Until storm clouds roll in and world's collide,
What was enough now torn apart,
Now left with nothing,
No time can mend this broken heart,
For only forgiveness from you can,
If you give me that chance again,
I'll be true about how i feel,
Maybe then we won't collide again,
I can be brighter then,
For a life without you,
Is a life not worth living,
Need you even just as a friend,
Holding onto hope praying I'll see your face again.

(written about a dear friend when i made a mistake and for weeks was without them, i though i had lost them for good)
