Sitting on the porch
Looking up into the sky
With a notepad in my hand
Writing on and on

Lost in my words
Lost in the world
Lost to everyone
Lost to the lord

did she do this to me

Mind is blank
lost in the cold
it numbs the pain
still sitting on the porch

Looking up towards the street
there she is
with a tear in her eye
when she sees what she's done

did she come back
it put a tear in my eye

As I walked up to her
to put my arms around her
when I did she vanished

is my head playing tricks on me

Go back to the porch
to sit in the cold
just lost to the world
lost to my self
