Don't Dare Turn Back (2)

by Kait   Jul 9, 2008

Never coming.
Always leaving.
Excuse after excuse.
What is the use,
of my nights spent crying?
And, listening to your lying?
I would ask you why,
But I don't want another reason to cry.

Every thought is of you.
And, the things we used to do.
I remember your sweet words.
The ones I never should have heard.
Like the song repeating in my head,
of our love, forever dead.
Something for you was never good enough.
And to you, our relationship was a bluff.

You never knew what you wanted.
And with our past, I will be eternally haunted.
But, now it's my time to find someone new.
Maybe someone random, and a love out of the blue.
Please take this chance and walk away.
You are no longer welcome to stay.
With your leaving, my world is no longer black.
And with that said, don't you dare turn back.

I wrote Don't Turn Back a while ago and was reading it and i loved the idea i put behind it but i didn't so much like the way it was written so i took it apart and rewrote it. Please compare the two and let me know what you think!! :)
