A comet trailed pale fire,
across are evening skies,
over my distant forest,
held in the forgotten fields,
beneath the light of the stars shinning bright,
when the winds where hurrying,
and the waves where white below,
i stand against the mist of gentle waves,
the thunder shakes the mighty deep,
should i sink beneath the waves?
