Religion and me

by Nicko   Jul 10, 2008

Religion and me
Was it to set the mind free
If so, that's wrong
I don't sing that song

It actually enslaves
You live your life in a cage
Religion and war
Has made humanity poor

It hasn't enriched the soul
The supposed original goal
But religion has many faces
Up its sleeve a couple of aces

You know what it means to me
And it's not a shining light I see
But faith in man as a specie
His ability to face adversity

Being able to reach for the sky
Though the cost has been high
When man grasps for the stars
Past the men on mars

Leaves our God behind
Go see what we will find
Go touch infinity
That's religion to me
