Afterglow

by Bare My Paradox   Jul 10, 2008

Aurorean beauty faded into the dark
Eventide etioliated into light
Aria of aubade was never so acrid
Until barren words kaput my night

Articulate your way to oppress hearts
Apostasy quashed my soul
A fire once blazing intensely
Now reduced to a heap of coal

Sub Rosa, somewhere inside
The ardor will survive
Aura of what I felt
Nestles in ells of my heart I hide

Sheltered in honeyed memories
Moonstruck, breathing in dreams
Your afterglow gives me light
To see through opaque and unseen

Rapt in your afterglow
Babel encroaches my thought
Tumult;emotions secretly flow
As the daybreaks & I let you go...
