Prayer for a Friend

Dear God,
I have a friend going through some tough crap.
I want to help him so he asked for me to pray.
Would you give me a hand and help him find his way?

He's a best friend and could easily be more.
He's healing, but with depression he's at war.
His mistress is the knife.
With it he'll take his life

I want to stop him and make him okay,
but I can't be there for the whole day.
A guardian angel is all I can be.
I'm hoping with your help the goodness we can let him see.
