Almost Broken

I send to regain connection,
and what do I find?
She's moving away,
and leaving me far behind.

A bond I once knew
could never be broken.
But who knows if it'll be
like we'd never spoken.

She has other friends,
as do I.
But does she still think of me,
as when we were yea high.

I'll try and mend the cracks
of an almost broken friendship.
But are they too deep
for any kind of repairment.

I'll do my best, I'll try my hardest
because there's no way in hell
I'm gonna lose my best friend,
as you can tell.
