I felt many things from this poem. It brought a tear to my eye. I have a great attachment to my animals, one of friendship and trust. I feel this in the few words of this poem.
You are versatile in your writes, from long and detailed to the short and very descriptive. Very excellent write.

Your poem for some reason invokes sadness and loneliness but though you dont say its a rural setting mention of the farmers and rain together with you and you dog bring a vivid picture to mind.Also i found your poem to be well written it really deserves more comment
