True Love

by Robert Meuser   Jul 11, 2008

True Love

Love is in the air.
Its presence is strong.
I want to sing your melody
the whole day long.

There’s nothing in the world
I would rather do,
than to think sensual thoughts
of caressing you.

When you came along
you captured my heart.
It was eternal love
from the very start.

With you I feel giddy
and high as a kite.
I thrive on our love
because it's so right.

If I lost you
I couldn't survive.
Just your nearness
is what keeps me alive.

As bees are lead to flowers
and flies are lead to poop,
I will love you forever,
unless you fly the coop.
