Please Don't Go Away

by SashaMirage   Jul 11, 2008

I know that you are dying
I see it in your face.
I want to hug you tightly
so I'll remember your embrace.
Not only are you fading physically
but spiritually too.
Your sadness cuts me like a blade
and I don't know what to do.
With each breath that you take
I feel your giving up on life.
Your intentionally failing,
content in your strife.
I know you carry burdens
that I would not wish to bare.
But Unfortunately,'
lifes not always fair.
Do you not see
your leaving all you love behind?
You seem to push these thoughts
far away, no longer in your mind.
You can't even imagine
what losing you would mean.
Your the one who raised me
and taught me everything.
Yet still you want to leave me
here all alone.
I know your sadness is deep
the depth is unknown.
Inevitably you miss her
and so do I.
I just don't want to add you to the list
Of those who I talk to in the sky.
Am I not a good enough reason
to convince you to stay?
Oh, the sadness in your heart,
I'll never be able to weigh.
Please before you leave
listen to all I have to say...
I love you and I need you here
so please don't go away.

This is a very sad poem indeed I'm guessing tt the person whom you're writing about is ur dad? Though you didn't mention him, the whole content all points to him to be protagonist of the poem.

I love the way when you said:

I just don't want to add you to the list
Of those who I talk to in the sky

Here it clearly indicates you don't want ur Dad to go to the place where all ur love ones has gone...

    tearjeaking indeed
    but its all worth it
    great job
