My broken fairytale

by J u l e s   Jul 11, 2008

Who ever said that fairytales were happy?
They are not as great as they seem to be
In this one fairytale
Everything good was just turned into lies

Who said prince charming was real?
He would soon rescue you
From a tower and away from all the danger
But in our fairytale, prince charming never came true

Where is the happy ending?
That holds love in the air
Where guy meets girl
And she becomes his world

Why was my fairytale
The one to be broken?
There was no happy ending
There was no prince charming with those beautiful words to be spoken

This was the fairytale
Filled with hate and pain
The only fairytale
Where there was nothing good to gain

Maybe this one was broken in favor of a better one down the road as yet unseen. C
