Just another midnight poem

by StandStill   Jul 11, 2008

I have a confession to make,
I don't understand.
I write out all these words for you,
only thing I can do with my hands.

Simplistic rhymes disgust me,
I'm sure they bother you.
And every word now pours out,
it'll be midnight in a minute or two.

I have these words to cry,
this world is moving far too fast.
I can't keep up, can't run like that,
and all these seconds pass.

So now I'm begging you,
somebody please inform me
of all these things I'm missing;
all these things I cannot see.

I feel like this a lot. Like you can't write down everything you want to say fast enough, and then when you do the rhymes are simple and it's just not what you wanted to say. It was a lovely poem though, Gabby. ^.^

Very relatable. You can somehow make people see from your point of view when you write poems. They can see inside your mind and really understand you, or at least that's the impression the poem gives off.

    Great job!

P.S. Sorry, my comments are very good right now. I'm tired and my brain isn't working. XD
