Only to die ((living with these linings))

by StandStill   Jul 11, 2008

Of course, now these words are streaming,
for here comes the Midnight Muse.
She whispers words into my ears
of all the things I've now confused.

Petals unfold only to die,
exotic perfume of hell upon the air.
Silver linings disappear,
because simply, you don't care.

The moon climbs high in the ocean of stars,
only to falter and slam to the ground.
Dew-drop tears are everywhere,
fragile glass that litters the shakes with the sound.

Can you hear the lamentations?
Reader, I write them here for you.
Sunrise seems so far away
and lies are appearing true.
