Everyone's Broken

by Beautiful Chaos   Jul 11, 2008

Everybody takes a piece,
Few give in return,
Vultures at the final feast,
Before this world does burn.

Drifting in and out of madness,
Never miss a beat,
Floating through this time and space,
Feels so incomplete.

Who will be a legend here,
Those who have no soul?
Everyone you've come to know,
Who will not leave you whole?

Everybody's missing something,
Though they will not say,
If you take a single breath,
You give something away.

A drop of love, a storm of tears,
A shy but, subtle smile,
Something shared within a second,
Held with us a while.

Pain is found in everything,
For everything does end,
It doesn't mean there's nothing good,
We can comprehend.

Cold, cruel people, on this earth,
Always they'll exist,
But love is stronger than them all,
If you don't resist.

No one makes it out alive,
So live it while you can,
Every soul, a little hole,
The moment life began.
