And so it goes

by Dani   Jul 11, 2008

Well, I never intended to take
your life, so take it back, and make it a good one.
I can and have forgiven many old things, but the new
still hurts, as I am sure my new has hurt you in return.
I wont apologize for the old that
I have already apologized for countless times from my perspective,
Though those may not have seen as such, that was me trying to say:
I'm sorry.

But I do apologize for letting it all stay so fresh,
For picking at the wounds of our lost friendship.
Things done to another I cannot forgive, only the other can forgive,
and that is how it should be.
Things between us can be fixed by us
if we let it.
I want to let it.

Let that be that.
