Absolutely beautiful, how did I miss a beautifully crafted poem such as this? It's amazing how you penned this down from Crystal's perspective. Well nobody wants to lose their love ones but sadly fate didn't have any pity on her. Indeed, as the reader I can sense the longing the protagonist had of her husband, reminiscing all the moment they've shared together, but all that was taken away because of a stupid war. Well it's certain was a delightful to read. Excellent Job. Keep it up;)

The title pulled me in , it was so beautiful but I was in awe of the poem. She had to have been thrilled to the core to read something so amazing. So glad I read it

    Keith, such a moving piece.

You write only truth and it's so heart-breaking we have to go through any loss but one of such an heroic man/woman must break us that bit more.

    Take care, Em

I hope these words now I write... The reverse syntax threw me off a bit in this particular line, Keith. My mind kept wanting to read, "I hope these words I write now."

Will describe the pain that I feel
My love, my life is gone
My heart, will it ever heal ? ... As for the remainder of your sad and despondent poem, I could clearly relate to the context.
    Well done, sir!
