No encores

by pam   Jul 12, 2008

Nothing left
in our once love-filled hall
'cept blood stains
on the whitewashed wall
decomposed lavendar
strewn all over on the floor
cold cold me
in a corner
curled into a ball
why doesn't winter
slip into spring
summer or fall
why does my heart
still beat at all
I could have
begged you to stay
but what for
when love dies
why listen out for encores
why wait for any
goddamned curtain calls
I am no longer
breathing, living,
nor anything
shucks, I went from
your everything...
to nothing at all
