From the Start

Days just slowly pass by,
No longer do we talk.
I knew things wouldn't be the same,
When out the door you walked.

If I am ever lucky,
I may not think of you.
I wish that could truly happen,
Days would be easier to get through.

I can't help but wonder,
When I last crossed your mind.
Couldn't ever love someone else,
The papers to my heart are signed.

How I wish I could change the locks,
Since you have the key to my heart.
No matter how much I wanna deny it,
I was completely yours from the start.
