Moon

by Ray Smallshaw   Jul 12, 2008

One day when the Moon collides with the Earth,
All hatred in our sad stained hearts will turn to Love.

Then all thoughts will rain a Love storm,
Totally pouring a hail of kisses, a downpour of wanton tears and a torrent of love songs.

Touching stars will brush away sadness and pour in Love,
Violently reminding us of our own frail souls.

Then and only then will you once more dive into my open arms,
Wanting me as I have always wanted you.

No restraints, no broken promises or rent hearts,
Just happiness and eyes full of glee, mirroring our love for each other.

Knowing life is to short for pride at last,
The Moon after all is so close.
