The Transitions of Love

by Joshua Lee   Jul 12, 2008

My sanity has left me

Gone to visit another

To find a someone, a lover

A dove of good tidings

A rosary of rosy thoughts

And floating fantasies

That drift into my window

I smell the winds of it

and lust for the feel of it

But cannot reach beyond my limits

I stay here in this hole

Lying in my bed

Hearing the mundane cries

The voices of the sea

Roaring in sorrowful silence

The unwinding hand of the clocks

Ticking loudly in anger

Rebuking insanity

The traitor that left me

To find love again

In a foreboding crow of death

With feathers that curse

Laying hexes as they land

sealing fates

With wicked venom

And the essence of death

The measures of doom

And the devices of the dark

From which love may sprout

And flourish in grasses of green

That beguile the naive

Who lay so ignorant and happy

In the hills of gray

the valleys of shadow

In the world of pestilence

In the United Nations of Nothing

WOW! This is an amazing piece of writing. The style so perfectly suited what you wanted to convey and every line seemed so perfect. A well deserved 5/5!
