Clever trick

by rachelle   Jul 12, 2008

You say you miss me; you call all the time.
You have a way with trapping yourself inside my mind.
A box of chocolates, a dozen of my favorite flowers to sway my heart.
Charming moves you pulled on me with a hidden piercing dart.
Your charms are irresistible; i frown without your smile.
You play me like some video game that's worth less than a demo trial.
Cliche pranks that made my days
Somehow ended with you going away.
You're so mischievous, i fell so easily.
Only you could pull off pick up lines that sounded so corny.
Moments with you were never a bore
You had me wishing for too much more.
Hold my hand, then hug me tight.
False signals kept me crying at night.
Your dozens of sweet letters and a flattering picture.
Suddenly meant nothing when you realize im just an ordinary girl.
Clever tricks, that's all they were.
Just to prove to this world that my heart is not made of armour.

I love the part that says "Hold my hand, then hug me tight.
False signals kept me crying at night." its definetely how i feel at most times. its easy to say "yea thats how i feel & i want it to stop too" with your poems.
