Invisible mask

by Tangible heartache   Jul 12, 2008

I am smiling can't you see?
Don't you know?
But no one sees the real me
I can't let it show
You see this is a mask
Everything I hide is under it
It's such a simple task
That is something I admit
I don't let anyone see
I can't let anyone know
Who is the real me
That it's only a show
Keep on walking
Don't give me your time of day
Keep on talking
But don't give me a say
Because I won't listen to you
Until you notice me
But that you will never do
I am invisible, don't you see?

Beautiful write, but very sad.. most people feel alone, even in a crowd, but they just need to find themselves. :) Good work. 5/5

I love the honesty and truth..
and the last line, asking someone to see the invisble-ness.
    good work.
