Lost inside the Box

by LadyPearl   Jul 12, 2008

I've written letters to myself
Simply to find the word identity-
For it seems I often prove myself wrong
Without a base I have no home.

Names mean nothing for I have several;
Whatever one calls me may perhaps end up...true

The Silent leader who mutters rhymes
And in the end comes out victorious
Or the careless dreamer who's stuck in a cage
Unable to fulfill what is simply dreams,
Or the philosopher hidden within a innocent face
Who drinks and savors the cynical world
Or the beaten up wanderer lost in a forest
Tired of people and the society,
Or the longing desire of a stubborn virgin
Convincing the world "she wants none of it"

I Am all yet none of those above
For in the end I come out plain and normal
Absolutely unequipped for Walden pond.

I love how you split this up. how it was two long stanza's but inbetween and at the end were short emotive filled, thought provoking idea's.

note: loved! loved! loved the title! 5/5 for sure, David
