Wild Times Endure

by Bill Turner   Jul 12, 2008

Waiting for a time that is grand
Bottle of lightning in my hand
The luckies dance at my feet
Carrying me down life's street
Let the good times roll

Beating the drum like a madman
Sounding the hymn of eternal war
Sensing a change in the wind
Not really sure what is in store
Throw the dice and grab some more

Wild times and visions endure
As my eyes and words begin to slur
Maybe they are not luckies at all
Demons with fangs, however small
Res ipsa loquitur

Beating the drum like a madman
Sounding the hymn of eternal war
Sensing a change in the wind
Not really sure what is in store
Throw the dice and grab some more

Life is meant for much more fun
Let yourself bask in the sun
Do not retreat into the dark of night
Unleash your new found eyes and sight
ab abusu ad usum non valet consequential

Beating the drum like a madman
Sounding the hymn of eternal war
Sensing a change in the wind
Not really sure what is in store
Throw the dice and grab some more

So live your life like a superstar
Try it all and let yourself go far
Question all that you hear and see
It is the only way to truly be free
accusare nemo se debet nisi coram Deo

The imagery you created of a madman beating drums put a smile to my face; a carefree man doing things as it unfolds without a doubt. Just leading life like a 'superstar' being happy.

"Try it all and let yourself go far
Question all that you hear and see
It is the only way to truly be free"

The 3 lines above does tell about the wisdom of understanding all consequences. I suppose to let ourself go far might set us free but keeping in mind to question all that that goes around; to be careful in drawing the line. I like the message here. Says a lot more then what has been said.
