One love (part 2)

by Kid Civic   Jul 13, 2008

You wouldn't read my letter if I wrote you
You asked me not to call you on the phone
But there's something I'm wanting to tell you
So I wrote it in the words of this poem.

I didn't know God made honky tonk angels
I might have known you'd never make a wife
You gave up the only one that ever loved you
And went back to the wild side of life

The glamor of the gay night life has lured you
To the places where the wine and liquor flows
Where you wait to be anybody's darling
And forget the truest love you'll ever know.

Everyday of my life, uptil forever, spoken for when you look at me, now that your gone, my life goes on and all love my heart is out of me.

Well i've got, time on my hand, you on my mind, nowhere to spend, all my love, and i'll be here waiting for if you ever change your mind, and i got time on my hand and you on my mind.

Each morning i see, the future before me, empty and as endless, as the Sky's, i should begin. to build my life again, i just can't seem to find a reason why.
