Winner In Heaven

by Loruhh   Jul 14, 2008

I gently held your hand for a moment or two,
the feeling was cold,
lost,
and empty.
Considering the fact that you are gone,
but not forever,
I can understand why you felt that way.
But I know for a fact that you will always stay warm in the hearts of those who loved you.
At your funeral a song was sung,
a piece of it really spoke out to me.
I'm a winner either way,
if i go or if i stay'
After hearing those words they changed my way of thinking.
This isn't a day to be sad,
This isn't a day to be happy.
This is a day to be thankful,
thankful of the fact that your a winner.
A winner in heaven.
