In The Land Of No Return

She crys alone,
Knife in hand.
Looks out the window,and sees her man.
She has to do it quickly,
For,she knows he'll object.
But she knows she's nothing,
She knows this is what's best.
It's not that she doesn't love him,
Which is what he seems to think.
He means the world to her,
Which is why she has to go,
She's doing it for the best,
But now he'll never know.
Maybe if they had taken time to listen,
Given her a chance,
She wouldn't be here right now,
Holding that knife in her hand.
He's running up the front porch steps,
Trying to reach her in time.
She screams at him to go away,
That she's gonna be just fine,
She doesn't need him anymore,
She finally saying bye.
He stares in horror as the knife cuts through her skin,
She falls to her knees,
Looking up at him,
She says, "I'm so,so sorry, but it's really for the best,You're better off without me,It's your story, so finish the rest."
With that last sentence her heartbeat finally stops,
He screams for her to stay with him,
But then knows what he has to do,
He pulls the knife out of her side,
And says, "Baby, I can't live alone, This one's for you."
Finally his heartbeat slows to meet hers,
They're both together now,
In the place of no return.
They'll never leave the other's side,
Their love will always burn.
He left this life to be with her,
In the Land Of No Return...
