You are gone, no longer here.
The music turned off,
sounds of silence and tears.
Young, full of life,
A last breath, that's all it took.
Your story ended before it began,
You are an unfinished book.
Taken so soon, daylight turned dark.
Words left unspoken, things left undone.
Young as you were, shocked as I am,
I never wished for this to happen,
I never wished for your end.
You were not my friend, not anymore,
We finished that chapter, I closed that door.
I have no regrets, none but for one,
That your light has died,
That a door has been closed for good,
A lock jammed, a key broken,
Your last thoughts forever more left unspoken.

This poem is dedicated to Afira Hof, because you left this world at only 17 so soon and unexpectedly. Although we were not friends and hadn't been for more than three years, I did see you almost everyday at school, I did hear you talk and sometimes I did listen. I never ever wished for your death, and I'm still shocked this happened to you,.. It shouldn't have been you.. you did not deserve this.
