One of Them

by Ignoris   Jul 15, 2008

If only they knew how the world
Turns to gray
When they say those things and call me
Those names
If only they saw how I
Hope at night
For a new day to rise from the
Mornings light
If only they heard how I
Cry alone
When no one is there and I'll
Never be home
If only they felt the
Grief that I do
That I'll never belong, cause I
Need love too
If only they touched the heart that
Still beats
Then maybe they'd feel the warmth
They defeat
If only they knew how hard
I have tried
To be one of them but of that
I'm deprived

that was amazing, truly well written and heartfelt. the structure really makes the poem breath taking. But all that aside hun, you don't want to be one of those people, because when all is said and done, they have only succeeded in making you stronger and they still will have to learn the lessons you have. They've put you ahead.
