Weeping Willows

by Indian Comma Bean   Jul 15, 2008

They call them weeping willows,
For the willows know the seasons.
They understand that life is short,
So they weep for many reasons.

While the earth is soaked in blood,
The forests slowly seem to fade.
As murder, violence, chaos consumes,
It's in the trees that the price is paid.

While children run around the trees,
The blades of teethed devils play.
As saw after saw is sent in time,
The children only weep and pray.

For life is short for most of them,
Their bark shows many scars.
Every year they grow taller up,
Their goal one day, to reach the stars.

But not all of them will see that day...

They call them weeping willows,
For the willows know the seasons.
They understand that life is short,
And hope you see their many reasons.
