AS I PONDER ON BUYING A DOG

AS I PONDER ON BUYING A DOG By: R. Meuser

I can't find a reason
I would need the rare Ibisan

Would I lose my noodle
If I got a French Poodle?

Friends say my life would be merrier
with a Boston Terrier

Getting a large dog would be insane
So that rules out the stately Great Dane.

Of course if I had a large yard
I could have a big hairy St. Bernard.

Since my life is not in jeopardy
I have no need for a German Shepardy.

If I threw Frisbees and needed a great receiver
I would want a Golden Retriever

Now if I lived in Russia where it is cold and snowy
I could cuddle up to a big Borzoi

If I did not want my life drab and dingy
I could buy a sweet Basenji.

Then there is a dog unique and profound
That is the Egyptian Pharaoh Hound

My dilemma was plain to see
So I made a decision and I got three

Basenjis and a Pharaoh hound were my choice
Two with no bark and one with a voice.

Never again will there a boring day be
For now I have the love of three.

Hahaha... your bit about Russia is quite true. I was raised there, and Winter's were very, very cold. Too much snow!

But I loved this. Keep it up. :) 5/5
