Until The End

by L o s tAndA l o n e   Jul 16, 2008

She sits alone in the empty house,
Thinking of how they were so close.
All the times he held her close and dried her tears,
The way she trusted him and loved him all those years.
But now he's gone,
And nothing matters anymore,
She messed it up,
Pushed him away,
And to think that he once promised,
He's here to stay.
She cries herself to sleep,
Every single night,
And she can't seem to forget him,
Try as she might.
She's never felt as alone,
She pushed everyone else away,
So now she's all on her own.
She's forced to fake a smile,
Every single day.
Somehow she manages to do it,
And although she'll never ever say,
She misses him terribly,
Loves him,
And will,
Until the end of time...

Very nice work...this poem is very real and true to life, easy to relate to. It kind of makes me think of what a monster we can be to ourselves, pushing people away like that, then being too proud to speak up. Beautiful work.
    Take care,
