I live in a home.....

by Invited   Jul 16, 2008

I live in a home
Where commuters,
Roam around the city
And the bustling city
Is filled with polluted air.
I live in a home
Where crime rate
Is reasonably high
And you can't see the blue sky
because of the smog that fills the air
I live in a home
Where business
And democracy is legend
Politics, is a huge mess
Yet living in a home is
Known as common wealth.

Hey ! Thank you for your comments, and guess what? You're on my favourite authors lists as well. You're young, but you're poems are extremely compelling. Good Job, Young Lady :) I fully support ya. Walah

This is beautifully written with so much insight from such young eyes.
At first I found it to be a sad poem until I read the final verse.
You seem to have insight into deeper meaning than most your age and many that are much older I would love to follow the growth expressed in all you write---JIM 5/5
