I Can't Paint

by The Angel of Secrets   Jul 16, 2008

I want to paint a painting to portray what I see,
I want to show the world who I am, who is me.
I want the people to gaze upon what I paint,
Look at it, be amazed, cry or nearly faint.

I want to show them the beauty along with the pain,
No rainbows, but the cheerful sun and the crying rain.
I want to let them know what the world needs,
I want to paint the flowers growing from their seeds.

I want to paint the splendor, the happiness and smiles,
I want to show them people who have walked for miles.
I want to show them sweat, love and despair,
Show that this world is beautiful, but it isn't fair.

But I can not paint the breeze that touched my skin,
I can not paint what I feel, what I feel within.
I can't paint the sound the skies makes when there is thunder,
I can not make them see, make them look, make them wonder.

I can't put the atmosphere into a picture frame,
I can not make the colors stand out, they're all the same.
I can't make the people look, wonder and then almost faint.
Conclusion of it all: I can't paint.
