Temptation (It screams your name)

by Meagan Adelle   Jul 17, 2008

The razor blade calls ever so sweetly
Tells you it can ease the pain you feel so deeply
You begin to remember the feeling from before
That feeling of ecstasy so hard to ignore
You tremble at the thought of it again
You think of the way the blade feels against your skin
Razor blade Kiss- You want to give in

And there it sits on the table, looking so plain
Temptation- Now it's screaming your name
Flashbacks, your mind begins to race
You look at all your scars and a tear runs down your face
You start to think of your friends and how they feel betrayed
They know that over them, you have chosen a blade
Razor blade Kiss- It won't make the feelings fade

You focus your attention away from the blade on the table
Try to resist the urge but you fear you'll be unable
If you let the numbness control you, you know you're gonna bleed
If it controls you, you'll never get the help you need
Silence takes over and your ears start to ring
It's taking every ounce of strength for you not to scream
Razor blade Kiss- It haunts you in your dreams

You find the strength to put the blade away
You think you can manage, at least for the day
Thoughts are still there, they won't miss you when you're gone
If it weren't for your friends you probably wouldn't hang on
You still hide your feelings, you continue trying
The pressure on your soul makes you feel like dying
Razor blade Kiss- It calls but don't listen, it's lying
