Fallen angel

She's so beautiful
when she looks in the mirror
she sees someone who could maybe
change the world someday in the blink of an eye

when he closes his eyes
it's her that he sees
he'll tell everyone that shes the one
but shes far more than that

when she cries
gray will take over the sky
the ocean will rise
and the wind will go insane

nothing can describe
her heart and the pain
her mind is something that is silenced
no one cares what she has to say

her heart shatters
and she can no longer subside from her tears
she waits for open arms
all she gets is more closed doors

don't forget her while she is gone
but she's never coming back
she's gone down to many times
to stand back up stronger

she's finally had enough
she has tears in her eyes and pain in her heart
she wants to give everything away

she's begging for someone
to lift away all the bad blood
to erase every scar
because she's afraid that she will never make it

she runs
she screams
she fights
she tries so hard to fly

but she has broken wings
to match her heart
she can try
but she'll never get that far

he sees her smile in the stars
and hears her laugh in the rain
he remembers how she looked like an angel
with her hair flowing in the breeze

he will never leave
but she cant take the pain
so she takes away his everything

doesn't she know how special she is to him
how much he loves her
it's unbelievable
she'll never believe

he wants to fix her heart in his hands
he wants to hold her in his arms
but she pushes away
she wants to be able to decide her own fate

she wants to make her own choices
she wants to stand up
to smile and not be pretending
to quit crying herself to sleep at night

she wants to win
but she's surrendering this fight
no longer going to be a victim
no longer bowing down to other's whim

she's tired
she's fading fast
her breath is leaving
and her hearts beat is dead

she's a fallen angel
a beautiful creation from God
that couldn't take the mistreatment
that was tired of the depression

so she finally flew away
she's finally free, finally safe
unbound are the chains
she made a breakaway

nothing to escape from
now her wings are mended
she can take a step and have nothing to regret
her laugh makes the sun shine bright
