We keep going on
as if its all okay
but in our hearts we both know
the love has gone away

we won't admit it
though I can see it in your eyes
and all day while your at work
I sit at home and cry

we won't let go
though its what we should do
it just doesn't seem right
there can't be a forever without me and you

I lay here looking up at the wall
remembering the days we were crazy about each other
now we walk around blankly
we can't even look at one another

I just miss when you looked into my eyes
and promised forever
I miss you holding me
and telling me we belonged together

yet I don't have the courage
to leave this all behind
because each time I pack
I remember the times our fingers intertwined

I just lay here and hope
the sparks and love will make it back to our hearts
because out of it all
