A Lunchtime Peace

by Orchid Man   Jul 18, 2008

Sweetheart, it is so peaceful to sit in the car together -
- your head laying on my shoulder as we watch the whales frolicking in the sea
Even the wambats are here to see us and beg for pieces of our food or your touch
This is a personal and relaxing time and your softness and warmth hide the winter coldness.

The blue sea is so calm and the sun has opened its eyes to enjoy the sight of the whales
It is amazing to watch those giants surging out of the sea and waving their giant tails
If people would only give Nature her freedom; this world would be a wonderful place
Orchid Lady, it is breathtaking to feel the silken softness of your hair upon my face.

Sadly, it isn't often we have the opportunity to spend a few quiet moments together -
- if it is not work that keeps us apart there is always another reason for one of us to be away
But on this day we are together amongst our own thoughts and time has been kind to us
I love being close to you and your breathing excites my arms as they hold you close to me.

As a young child had I known you were to enter into my life I would have grown up more quickly
I would have put away all the clutter of my youth and replaced my dreams with my beautiful Orchid
Our courtship would have been so exciting; leaving fantasies to be sought and lived by the rest of the world
Sweetheart, our love does not include fantasies as our hearts and minds are joined together by our love.

Look around you my love, look who came out of the forest to share these moments with us!
Perhaps one of the wambats had hopped away to inform your furry friends we were watching the whales
My jealousy asks you to stay close to me because you make me feel so comfortable and content -
- and I don't want you to leave the warmth of the car to spend these precious moments with others.

I gently kiss the top of your golden hair and smell that intoxicating perfume and pull you closer to me
How I wish we could sit here forever; how I wish time would replay these Heavenly moments over again
Yet soon our lunch break will be ended then work will grin evilly and take us away from each other
Orchid Lady, for these remaining few minutes I am where I wish to be - here beside the love of my life.

You really are my Orchid Lady
