The Thought

by Meagan Adelle   Jul 18, 2008

I want to let the thought go.
In fact I've even tried.
But somehow when it's almost gone,
It springs back into my mind.

I don't want to think of you anymore,
I don't want to cry.
I hate thinking "if I don't have you,
I'm probably going to die."

So for a day I'll quit thinking of you.
Instead I'll think of paradise, the ocean, the trees, the wind,
But I know when I lie down to sleep,
I'll see your face once again.

It's hard to let the thought go.
Something I can't be strong enough to do.
So hard to give up the thoughts,
Thoughts of your heavenly hue.

So as another day goes by, I'll try not to think of you.
But I know at night I'll start to wonder...
If I were to slip out the words I love you,
Is there any chance you'd possibly say it too?
