Nature's Rage

by MelodyNeha   Jul 18, 2008

Sunshine piercing through the windowpane,
little birds chirping
calling out to a new day,
blooming flowers with morning mist,
fellows we get up to see this bliss,
do we pray for these wonders
if someday we'd miss?

Sleeping in the night's silence
we may rarely wake up
to hear the skies thundering loud,
waters roar into our house,
walls crack and roof is torn,
someone scared and someone alone,
some got buried in the famine's ground.

Nights are haunting,
days go chasing,
chasing the machine bird
that keeps coming by
screaming, waving, help! is the word.
Food, shelter, water
drop these bundles down in our lives,
oh! dear God
wherever you are
come down from the heaven
into our hearts,
light the wick of hope
for these frails to survive.
oh God, our only help
pray the sunshine comes in our homes again,
the birds chirp back happiness
into our lives,
may we also rise
tomorrow
at the rooster's call.
