IT

by Sherika   Jul 18, 2008

How do you say it's over to something that never

began?

How do you put an end to something that never

existed?

How do you put a stop to what never started?

How does feelings arise from a thing that never was?

I ache, as if IT had begun and is now over.

I feel loss, as if IT will never exist again.

What was IT? IT never had a name.

IT was just, IT.

Quite honestly, I looked forward to IT.

I adored IT.

I desired IT.

I lusted for IT.

I had to make love to IT.

But most of all, I enjoyed embracing IT.

The thing about IT though, IT does not work

if IT is not appreciated by everyone involved.

What happens is, the thing you most cherished

about IT, is the very thing that will disappoint you the

most from IT.

Call IT what you want, but I am pleased and happy to

have experienced IT, if only for a little while,

than to have never felt IT at all.

First off, I find this format unique and interesting. Secondly, I liked this poem for the fact that the title was IF and you capitolized every IF in the poem, that was on eof the things that really stuck out ot me and was unique as well. Thirdly, you did a wonderful job asking questions and I loved how you answered your first few questions as well. There's always room for improvement, and I hope you continue writing. Great start. 5/5.
