Carpe Diem

by StandStill   Jul 18, 2008

Twirl a little faster, sunshine,
and hold your head up high.
Yeah, they keep praying for your falling down,
hungry for the tears you cry.

Whip around and stare 'em down,
never let your heart falter.
Kissing saturn, telling lies,
hell couldn't get much hotter.

Every bled out phrase
is another messed up day,
where the ink is always dry
from the memories that you can't deny.

Don't bleed your wrists dry,
don't you dare give them what they need.
Even with these poisoned shackles
you can be so free.

Just 'cause every day gets darker
doesn't mean the light's out yet.
Sunrise 's comin' faster,
so hold tight to every star you catch.

Every bled out phrase
is another better day.
The ink flows out free
'cause you're just so happy to be.

**wow..i write crappy happy stuff. XD**
