A thousand broken wings
and a half a dozen burned out candles.
Life shatters on the mirrored wind,
too many grains of sand to make a single pearl.
And everything is crashing,
the angel wings rocket to the ground.
Burning like a falling star.
fluttering, whispering down.
Thousands of times, died out at sea,
only to be resurrected by the sweetest songs.
Praying in the ink-filled night,
trapped without being anymore wrong.
Smoke curls around grey-blue eyes,
tears pour forth from the penny poems.
Every diamond screamed out for me
was and is another half-fixed problem.
You don't know you saved a falling star,
caught in the tears of a broken heart.
Though the nights grow black and the screams shudder out,
know now, it's safe to fall apart.
I'll be waiting with open arms
*To Jesse...you've saved me more times than you know. so i won't abandon you. i promise.*
