I like the narrative , the metaphor of the note in a bottle being a saint. You carry that metaphor through successfully and poignantly to the end. If you are going to rhyme however you should pay attention to scansion. Rhyme creates a rhythmic expectation and if your lines are uneven it sounds worse than if you didn't. The poem would be much improved if rewritten without an attempt at formal verse.

Your rhymes work very well with the point you are getting across in this poem. I really like the title and how well it relates to this poem. Very interesting choice of a subject. Your imagery was very vivid, and was overall an enjoyable read. Great work.

Loved the story you told here. Really had me captured from the titile and the way you wrote it kept me interested...wanting more. Like the other one the flow was flawless which is made it easy to read. The imagery here was also a nice touch making this a wonderful poem.

I'm still trying to understand this completely, which is a good thing. I love when a poem makes me think. Was that a conscious King Arthur reference in the first stanza? In any case, I loved your rhymes and the steady flow of the whole thing as well as the laid back feeling. Very nice poem.

    Yea, wow. You never disappoint.

I really liked this poem. It too had that cryptic feel to it. It paints a picture but without flat out saying what exactly it is that is happening.

Your rhyming skills are great and you have amazing word choice. My favorite words were "unsunk bottle" "peacefully" "hope" "dampened wood" and "ponders." Those words were the ones that painted the most in my mind. The line "A description of hope, and a memory of fate." is super genius and really brought the poem to life for me.

    Overall this poem was incredible!
