What is our name? (riddle)

Little and strong with many kin,
building and sneaking,
with tunnels so thin.

harmless but i guess a little annoying,
sorry for welcoming myself,
the scent i smelled was just VERY enjoying.

i do have a name
they call me Jim,
but in the bigger world,
my family and I have the same name,
can you guess it?
