I Refuse

by BlindxPoetx   Jul 22, 2008

I refuse to give up,
to back down,
To call it quits.

You say life is a game.
That everyone should play it all the same.

I refuse,
I refuse,
I refuse!

As I run the mile,
As I wear the biggest smile,

As you watch,
smirking,
laughing,
waiting for me to slip up,
to give up,
to die.

I refuse,
I refuse,
I refuse!

I refuse to die,
or to give up when the going gets tough.

I'll watch you fall instead,
I'll beat you at your sick game,
I'll get inside your head.

It'll feel so good,
to know I have the upper hand,
to know that your like a grain of sand to me.

You futilely try to regain control or it all,
your life, your fall.
To save yourself,
To seem tall.

I refuse,
I refuse,
I refuse!

I refuse to let you have the upper hand again,
to let you maim me,
here,
in your sick game of life.

Everyone playing, all the same.

I refuse,
I refuse,
I refuse!

I hve watched your wildest dreams come true,
I have watched you fall,
I have seen it all.

When it comes ot you,
I now know what to do.

Where to go.

What to say.

How to chose a way.

I refuse to give up!

I refuse to let go!

I refuse to die!

I refuse to say goodbye!

I refuse,
I refuse,
I REFUSE!!!

The meaning of life is to keep going,
to never give up,
to refuse to die,
to say goodbye.

To all of that,
to everyone's expectations,
to your dreams coming true,
To you using me.

To conformity,
routine,
and regularity.

To giving up,
to letting to,
to just up and die,

I REFUSE,
I REFUSE,
I REFUSE!
