Smile Just To Please You

by Brooke Howard   Jul 22, 2008

Here she is sitting alone
waiting for him to come home

Here she guesses he's working late
But hes not, hes on a date

He normally gets off at seven
Here she is sitting up alone at eleven

He walks through the door with lipstick on his cheek
Shes no longer strong, but now she is weak

Knowing she won't win the fight
She smiles and gives him a kiss goodnight

She turns around and walks away
telling herself it will be okay

But inside she knows that's not true
Still she smiles and says everything is perfect just to please you!
